Personally I think it's cute if a girl is shy at first, but it could be misinterpreted as disinterest. Also, if you're shy after you're in a relationship with someone, it becomes hard for either side to open up.

I think guys generally find shy girls a lot more interesting than loud, in-your-face girls; 'cause they don't give away much about themselves, and guys LOVE mystery. xD Also they look like girls they can take care of; guys love to feel protective.
But at the same time, guys like girls who are confident within themselves [but not overconfident], 'cause it shows they won't slag themselves off all the time. [: So it's a balance, really; but in a poll I would expect more guys to vote for shy girls than überconfident ones. They scare them off a bit. xD

I find most shy girls are not at shy as they pretend to be. They are the best friends you can have.

i think its cute... im a shy guy and to be honest i get into a nervous wreck when im around this girl i really like...
its also nice if the girl helps the situation a little bit by helping to make moves :)

I like shy girls. I find after you get to know them they open up and can be more interesting than the girls who are outgoing.

I'm a shy guy so personally, my desire has always been to find a girl who is outgoing. Though nobody likes to be categorized so I suggest being quiet when its necessary but occasionally coming out of your shell.

I find shy women attractive. In my experience, it's the shy women that have much more to offer. They are also much more mysteriou which is a big turn-on.

i think shy girls usually are sometimes more interesting and intellegent. I really hate those non-stop talking girls that just cant get over themselves and are most of the time fair-weathered friends.
