I need some help. I am having a fondue party and I am in charge of the meat fondue. I thought I would have chicken and beef.
What is a nice cut of beef to use for fondue?
Any good fondue recipes for cooking meat in?
Other people are bringing cheese & chocolate so I don't need any recipes containing chocolate and cheese.
Thanks!

When I serve meat fondue, I get beef sirloin, veal fillet and/or pork fillet. I never tried chicken, but I guess you can use deboned breast or thigh meat.
Keep in mind that the meat should be tender and cook in a few minutes. If you use any other cut, it may be tough.
Prepare at least three or four different sauces: for instance one with avocado, one with cream cheese and a spicy one with tomatoes and chili pepper. Fondues are a lot of fun if you are having them with Friends, since you need to converse while waiting for the food to cook.

I would probably use a lean cut of beef...very little fat. Maybe a sirloin.

From fondue restaurants I've been to, they use beef broth with herbs and spices added to it (pepper, garlic, for example).

But, they also have a dipping sauces...maybe mild and spicy sauces. You can find tons in the grocery store.

Sirloin is a good choice it's not too expensive and has good flavor...

Just be careful having raw chicken around.... Maybe use beef already cooked meatballs. Use beef broth with seasonings..

Get some dipping sauces....

This recipe really stinks. It doesn't allow for any mistakes in seconds. It really requires that you are a gourmet chef who can whisk about 80 beats per minute. Don't get discouraged! Next time start with a bechamel sauce. Then add the cheese and wine. Adding the wine after the cheese is melted makes it a lot easier!
