be adult about the situation. tell him that you like this other guy and it's too weird because you feel like the relationship would hurt other people and that's not what your out to do. i would say no to telling him over an IM but i broke up with someone threw a text message and then changed my cell number so do whatever works best for you and hopefully ya'll can all remain friends.

look, you need to follow your feelings first. Stop thinking about what other people might feel like. Your best freind already has another man which means she moved on. You are at total liberty to go out with her ex. Just dont brag about the stuff you guys do to her. that might spark a bit of jealousy which is normal. Give him a chance but also find out if he really likes you or just hooking up with you to make your best friend jealous.

tell him that you don't want to hurt your other friends and by going out with him you feel like you are. let him know that you're a good friend who would never hurt anyone and maybe he'll respect that. you could IM him. he did

its kinda complicated situation you're in.
follow your heart... you best friend(girl) has a bf...
you also need to have a bf...
so i dont think that she would mind that you're goin out with your guy friend (though they once dated)
you deserve to be happy too..
n stop considering others feelings over yours.
your best guy frnd... could be your Mr Right... cuz he knows you better than anyone else, right.

You'll have to tell him that you don't feel that way about him. That he's your best friend and you don't want to lose that. I also think you should forget about his brother, because you'll end up having one less friend.

Just kinda let the chips fall where they may, and don't say anything,

I mean you never really commited to him

Just gently pull away this way you can remain friends

Woah! Tell him how you fell face to face if he is really your friend he'll understand. Although you shouldn't have lied to save his feelings. Also he may be hurt but he'll get over it.

It's fine if you like him.
Your best girlfriend can handle it.
You're not cheating on his brother.
You're not even dating him,
are you?

Just make sure you treat this guy right
if you keep him around.

tell him that you love him as a friend, but you don't want to hurt your friendship by starting a relationship.... and tell him the truth that you don't feel strongly for him as more than a friend... it may hurt, but it's better to know than not know!
