God did not try to solve world violence as you mistakenly state Balaam. God judged wicked people who deserved to be punished. And he will judge wicked men again soon...
2 Peter 3:3-7 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Balaam, you more than most here qualify as a scoffer and an ungodly man. I am not judging you. I am only repeating what you so proudly proclaim. I truly hope you will stop mocking God and come to Christ. He loves you and wants you to repent so as to come into his kingdom. Come to Christ

Too bad he could not come up with a better plan. Killing off so many innocent people with an indiscriminate plan like a flood is kind of stupid. Especially if a god is supposed to be omnipotent. The god could have just said, all bad people die now and made it happen. Kind of use a method similiar to the indiscriminate killing plan in Exodus except instead of targetting first born, target the bad people. Too bad this god guy did not have the knowledge and/or the power to pull this off.

God's actions were not just about violence- it was about the same issues we see today- the fruits of the flesh- read Galatians 5:16-26. I just dont see why someone would not want to live by the fruits of the Spirit.

why is that ironic? have you ever started to write a term paper and then scratched it out and threw it away? It's your paper. You CREATED it! You can do whatever you want with it. What, you think some government official should come along and define your first draft as intellectual property belonging to the state, and set up a committee to save it?

There is a Super Nintendo game called Act-Raiser in which you play as a god. The two has two parts, one is action which needs no explanation. The second part has you watching over your people as they build and evolve their civilization. As they grow, their population maxes out. You can help them by causing earthquakes and floods that make the land livable. My populations were not growing so I quaked everyone and started over, finally reaching the maximum population. Sometimes you just have start fresh.

Yeah... it's like rain on your wedding day. It's a free ride and you're already late. It's the good advice that you just didn't take...
No but seriously...it is really ironic.

Nothing ironic about it. GOD (YHVH) was not trying to end world violence, he washed the Earth of sin and evil. Sadly, Evil doesn't die.

If god was real then this would be the understatement of the millennium.
