If you read the ingredient list on the bag you will see that it is about 30% by-product meat (treated with chemicals and labeled "unfit for human consumption") and about 60% corn products which is a poor choice for cats.
Wellness kitten food (dry) and Wellness canned meats are far superior. That's what they should have. The best nutrition for cats is high quality meat protein. You will pay more and your cats will be healthier on it.

No, both Purina and Friskies are inferior foods, as is most anything you can buy at the grocery store.
Petsmart doesn't appear to carry good foods either. The one time I went there, I found "grocery store brands" and others that were perhaps a tiny notch above that, but nothing I would buy.
I'll try to keep my explanation short! Cats are obligate carnivores who need to eat meat. Their diets must be high in protein and low in carbs. Dry food is of necessity full of filler, and the "grocery store brands" contain some of the worst ingredients. Some may not contain any meat, most contain "meal" and unnamed byproducts. Many also contain corn, wheat and soy, which are not only carbs (at least the first two are) but are common allergens. Allergies in cats often show up in the litter box, not in sneezing.
Although canned foods are superior to dry, they're not all created equally either. They can be just as full of crap, so to speak.
Although I'm not a proponent of dry food, my official stance is that so long as you're not dealing with a weight problem or other issue, you can feed up to 50% dry if you wish. I personally only use it as a treat.
The only dry foods I would endorse are the grainless ones - Innova Evo, Wellness Core or Nature's Variety Instincts.
As for canned, there are a lot of good ones. I would back any on the What to feed link. All links have websites, and all websites have store locators so you can find where they're sold in your area.
Bottom line is - you get out what you put in. The better brands may cost more, but you're getting your money's worth and the proof is in the litter box!

Canned food is better then dry. Although friskies canned is not great quality, it is still better for feeding dry.
Where you buy your products doesn't matter, it is what is in them that does
Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your cat’s health
Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean? Is the first ingrdiant a muscle meat like chicken or meal or other things?
http://www.catinfo.org/#Learn_How_To_Read_a_Pet_Food_Ingredient_Label
Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i’s and a host of other problems. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms
The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process them. Also, Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food but in
Dry, 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.
You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all. Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Does a hard pretzel clean your teeth or do pieces of it get stuck? http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition/bpo_ch4a.php

NO its crap - infact ANY food from grocery store or Wal Mart (etc) is low quality - too much filler not enough nutrition...
read the lable you should always have a meat source as #1 ingredient since cats are TRUE carnivours...
hint: corn isnt meat... and should never be the top or near the top...
By-Products are cheap filler - beaks feet feathers and are preserved with a dangerous chemical pesticide..
so step 1 pick a different store.... go to pet supply store and look at the lables
YES better foods cost more BUT they are more nutritous so you feed less = less poops too!!!!
in Canada - NUTRAM, SUMMIT, ACANA...
in USA - WELLNESS, INNOVA, FELIDAE

No, all the cat foods you find in a grocery store are crap. They will live on it, but you can do much better. And the price difference surely isn't going to break you. Try Felidae or any of the natural foods. Ones that don't have fillers, dyes, etc.

Friskies, or anything you find in the grocery store pet food section is garbage. Go to your local pet shop and try "Call of the Wild" or Wellness, or Innova.

My mother has a cat who is 18 years old and still in good health. She's been eating Friskies since kittenhood. Both of my cats eat Friskies. One of them has never been sick in the four years since she came to live with us. The other has only had a slight skin condition which requires him to have a supplement added to his food. The vet said this is more to do with his breed (he's a Maine coon) than his diet.
So from what I've seen, there's nothing wrong with Friskies.

Friskies is not the best thing for your kitties. I would recommend Innova/Evo or Wellness. I will attach a link for where you can compare labels and/or order food.

Cats are carnivores and they need meat more than fillers. The fillers will not kill them but they are not good for them.
