i need a workout program for working muscles for a bikerider in the winter besides the stationary bike.

Speedskating and/or cross-country skiing transfer well to cycling.

Don't forget that you can continue riding outside through most of the winter unless you're in a really snowy area (in which case the above apply). Modern technical clothing is pretty amazing.....

I used to bicycle a great deal but when the weather gets bad (cold and snowy), I start running. I hate it but it is the only way I can keep my legs in shape. I also do kick-boxing which is good for keeping everything in shape.

My sister had a Nordictrack sky machine. I made fun of her since she trained on it during the winter, but once racing season came back she kicked my butt in every hill. So I'll have to say cross country skiing.
