lauri, so let me get this straight, you don't believe in evolution because it contradicts the creation story, but if it does occur, it's because of a creator? is that right?

swiss guard, i doubt you've read the scriptures and i'm sure you spend plenty of time in front of the boob tube. although, you probably don't spent much time watching anything educational, hence your opinion of what's on it...

Honestly?
I believe that God created everything through an evolutionary process.
ID is taking the idea that a god created things which is fine for my beliefs ...
BUT
Science is a physical thing, ID would just be a theory that would only be proven if the creator came down and explained it all.
Theories like the big bang and all that simply try to explain the origin with what we can observe in nature.
I don't know why it is a big deal all of a sudden to teach religion in schools. It wasn't taught when I went to school.
I learned the religion at home and at church. School was for my life here on earth.
Next thing you know if the religious right gets their way we'll be learning how to tell if someone is a witch by throwing them in a lake...

You have to understand that evolution is a super touchy subject for christians (and other religions). It throws into the air the idea that everything they believe in and have devoted their life to is all false....Many will not even lift a finger to try and look at evolution and other theories in a different, logic point of view. They will simply say that anything proving the theory of evolution is the devil's work, etc etc etc

Close minded? Intelligent design isn't even a question. What is scary is those who can't see it and are as boastful as your self.
