You need to properly treat your dogs first. Washing the dogs will not stop the fleas, even if you use a flea shampoo, these are so useless.
Get a proper flea treatment for your dogs, i.e Frontline, Advantage, Revolution or Advocate. These can only be bought from vets, or online. As for your house, you need a proper spray from a vets, that is actually going to kill them, you can't ward them off with incense!

Front line makes a household spray and a topical solution applied to your animals back. This should be done. I would not recomend bathing a dog more than twice a month at the most. most of the time you can get buy with once a month or once every 6 to 8 weeks.
Get a good vaccume cleaner for your house. This will help once you apply the frontline household spray.

Get a flea collar for your pet and keep the animal out of your room. Vacuume and wash all your stuff. I would shampoo the carpets if you have any in your room. Keep your pet clean and wash with flea shampoo often. If your pet has like a crazy amount of fleas, I would suggest you cut it's hair and wash your pet. Fleas and ticks can live in their ears and between their toes, so you should check it out. Take it to the vet if you have to and get flea drops.

1Treat the pet with a good flea preventative like Frontline or Advantage.( every month is a good idea)
2Then vacuum everywhere you can and throw out the bag as it will contan flea eggs.
3 Keep cleaning everyday until all the flea eggs have gone; you won't be able to see them but they are there!

The safest and cheapest method of getting rid of fleas is to use a mixture of boric acid and salt. The powder should be sprayed on carpets, bedding and areas frequented by pets.
