QUESTION:
Why a person wants God in particular shape or with particular quality?
A secret behind varied form of almighty.
ANSWER:
We do not have the capacity to understand who or what God is. Our concepts of God are formed by our culture and family from our youth. Our religion is more often then not, the religion of our family.
We look at understandings of God held by other religion and cultures as imperfect because it makes us feel justified. After all, God loves best those that look like me, dress like me, worship like me and believe exactly like I do. Right? NO! He loves us all!
The point is we all are trying to make sense of something that we can only get a glimpse of. Therefore no religion has the absolute concept of the total truth, because we can not conceive it. All of us look at the same unknowable thing and try to understand it or put it into words. The truth is when you hold that you totally understand God and his nature, it is that understanding that keeps you from knowing him more fully.
We cannot describe God with finite descriptions, words or concepts because he is infinite. This does not mean that we ignore him but instead that we do just the opposite and learn to respect all men’s understandings.
Think how productive it will be when we look for all we have in common with our fellow man instead of trying to exploit the few differences we have. When the state of divine love is realized to exist within then we approach the fulfillment of our being. The state of God consciousness being attained to faith, the indwelling Christ, Krishna consciousness, Buddha or the perfect alignment of the 10 sefirot. All of these point to the same state of consciousness that is within and to be realized by all.
Hark! The Kingdom of heaven is at hand! Look, the Kingdom of heaven is within. It is spread out before man, yet he does not see.
Blessings and peace to all,
All in all,
B

Why do you want the car of particular shape and color, why do super models have to have the proper shape. It is human to want things in certain shape.
Having not seen God, we all imagine Him our own way.
When I talk with an unknown person on phone and then have to meet that person, you form an opinion of how that person looks.
We superimpose our desire on God. All this is only till we realize the true nature of God.
We need a form to concentrate, then the form can be discarded. We can not visualize in abstract, with the tools we have.

God is the uniting spirit for the whole universe. Individual spirits, like us, require a spirit to bring us in harmony with the greater whole. God provides us with a common focal point for a universe, with a common reality, and need for an effective morality. God must be harmonious, and creative as an energy force, in order to hold the universe together to a degree, and in order to connect us together to various degrees. If we tune into God we get more in harmony with the universe, or if we tune in well to the universe we get more in harmony with God. If we get really tough and strongly connected with the reality of the universe, we get stronger spiritually. and get a stronger connection with God. Creativity comes from inspiration, which originates from God.

It doesn't matter WHAT people want. God said "I AM THAT I AM" - HE tells US what He is like, we don't dictate to HIM what He should be like.
The Bible describes God, and if we create a mental image other than what the Bible says, that is idolatry.
First, God is Holy. The angels cry out "Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD God Almighty." This simply stated in a way we feeble-minded humans can understand, means He can not tolerate sin. He has ZERO tolerance for sin. He will not permit it to go on indefinitely, and He MUST punish sin, nor will He allow ANY of it to enter heaven.
Second, God is Righteous. That simply means that He has never violated His Holy Nature.
Third, God is Love. The antonym of the word "Love" (Gr = "Agape") is NOT "hate", but "Selfishness".
If we can wrap our minds around these three character qualities of God, we'll be doing good.
The Bible says a lot more about God, but let's start with these three. And remember, God created us in His own image and likeness, so He expects us, likewise, to be holy, righteous, and love - that we should never tolerate sin in our own lives, that we should avoid sin at all cost, and that we should be unselfish towards others, and "love your neighbor as you love yourself."
Other than that, "He has shown thee, O man, what is good, and what does the LORD require of thee, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God."
Finally, Jer 9:23-24 (RV) says, "Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: (24) but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth, and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD."
There you go - the beginning of understanding. But remember, it is the FEAR of the LORD that is the beginning of wisdom.

The nature of god as it is understood, is one of complete mystery and awesomeness. God stands alone as something we cannot really fathom or understand.
That is why most religionists assign "attributes" to god. Of course, these attributes will place their god in the best light. For example, a Christian might call their god merciful, loving, forgiving or caring. Someone else may assign god the attributes of being distant, impersonal, brutal or selfish.
Whatever the case may be it is a matter of perspective and the qualities assigned to god, as you asked, are purely situational and circumstantial.

It is the comfort and level of understanding of each individual. It is human nature to imagine God as a super human, like children fancy barbie dolls and dress her up.

You mean 'why don't we go for a formless god'?that's cuz it takes some amount of willpower to get the idea into ones head and man chooses the easy way out. Also, people are way more secure thinking of god as someone who's really strong and can incinerate you with one look. They have someone to look up to and be afraid of.

Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition, way of Hindus' lives in Hindustan (India). It is claimed and insisted as such by all the well known Hindu priests, scholars, intellectuals, philosophers, books, scripts, the Ruling Party BJP & Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, the Indian and International strongest Hindu organizations RSS & VHP, each and every Hindu, etc.
Hinduism is a very old culture, tradition, custom and way of lives of Hindus in Hindustan (India) for centuries. The Idols and idol worshipping cannot be separated from Hinduism. There are over 330 or 360 millions of Gods and Goddesses in India & millions of temples / shrines with their idols therein. Hundreds of millions of Hindus pray and worship these idols in those temples and shrines.
Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition, rite and ritual. It had divided humanity in 4 categories (varnas) and thousands of castes therein. Not included in these 4 are the Untouchables, worst and dirtiest than animals. A Hindu always belongs to his own caste. Castes are quite absolutely unchangeable. A Hindu attains perfection (Moksha) by attending the job of his caste, he born in by nature. If he adopts any other job, he is a big sinner. Only Brahmins are licensed to read, study, self educate, recite sacred words and verses, attend temples, be priests, etc. If a Shudra (4th category-Varna) listens the Vedas and sacred verses then boiling lead is to be poured into his ears, if looks at them then red hot rods to be inserted into his eyes, if recites them then his tongue is to be cut, as taught and guided by Upanishadas and Manusmritis, the holiest & commonly practised books of Hinduism. The worship and prayer of a Hindu is only the job of his caste, he is born in by nature.
