I have a BT line. I wish to separate calls (i.e. Friends from Business). I do not want the expense of an additional line. I have heard their is a converter (?), which can be used to divert these calls. Any ideas out there my friends. THANKS.

BT will give you a different number (which has a distinctive ring) on the same line for about a fiver a quarter - check with BT Select Services ! ! !

Not sure about a converter but there are some phone that you can set the ring tone so you know who is calling similar to the mobiles. That way you could set a different ring for your business calls

DECT cordless phones often have ability to set different ring tone depending on the incoming phone number. If the contacts phone numbers are in your DECT phone contact list it can recognize it and you can assign different rings for different types of callers (family and friends vs. work or other).
