Looks like you are gathering information for your general knowledge. What people can answer you can never be compared with a visit.
1) Thais eat any food like you and me. The key difference is that they use more spice and herbs in their cooking than others. Their taste is more of hot, spicy, tangy, sour and sweet tasting. So their food is quite unique and many visitors have learned to like the flavour. As many homes cook meals daily, the food are usually bought fresh in the morning and prepared for the day's meals. And Thai food is known to be nutricious and low in cholestrol. So Thai food is generally healthier than western food.
They will stock eggs, milk, bread, fruits, vegetables and meat in the fridge like any body. Just what are necessary for cooking meals.
2) There are many varieties of the architecture in Thailand. This stem from their ancient cultural; links in different regions which can still be seen in today's buildings. I will broadly group them into city and countryside, or urban and country.
In the main cities, the buildings are like any other cities in the world. You will see tall concrete structures with modern design. Sometimes you will see local symbols like elephant, lotus pattern in their design. You will see bungalows and semi-detached houses like anywhere else. You will also come across local architecture styled houses in the urban area, usually wooden houses built grandly.
Towards the country, where most of the people farm for a living. These places you are more likely to see a thatched wooden house on stilts. Wooden houses will be more common. There will be the occasional brick houses still in the outlying areas. Usually country houses tend to be large, as they will house a feww families under one roof. Thais will live with family as long as they want to.
Design wise, the Northern Thai homes have a distinct Lanna style, a tradition when they were under the Lanna Kingdom years ago. Key will be the design of the roof and the artwork on the support structure. It is still populat these days.
So you will see many different types of dwellings in Thailand. Now there are many project with cluster-like terrace dwellings, more of modern style projects ongoing in many parts of the country. People are moving away from the wooden houses into more modern ones.
3) Probably one unique thing you will notice while in Thailand, if you ever come, will be the many temples everywhere. There is something like 40,000 plus in the whole kingdom. 90% over of the Thais are Buddhist and they do believe in karma. That doing good will bring good. You will find them very nice people.
Do make your way there if you can, it will be a very pleasant trip for you.
And sorry, I am not a Thai.

I am American but lived in Thailand, so my answers may be a little different than a true Thai's.
1.Most food is eaten outside the home or take out as few thai homes in cities have a full kitchen and food from restaurants and stalls have a really good price. Rice and noodles are eaten steamed or fried. Meat is mostly chicken, pork, beef or many kinds of seafood. Soup is also very popular and sold in plastic bags. Most food are spicy or sour, but never without flavor. A lot of curry and pepper flavors. Salad are also popular. In my fridge, mostly you would just find drinks, fruit.
2.There are all styles of home. People in cities mostly live in an apartment. Kind of like townhouses almost, all in a row, and usually not much more than 3 or 4 stories, except in Bangkok. Some just live in small cement or wood 2 or 3 room houses in rural areas. My house and most of my neighbors live in houses that look just like American houses, but are kind of close together.
3.What's interesting is the variety of lifestyles in one country. There are many people who are simple farmers. A great deal of just middle class people, and some very wealthy--expensive clothes, hanging out in clubs, etc. Most young people in cities speak some English. Also, instead of cars, most peole drive motorbikes around and streets can get very crowded. People are always very friendly and helpful, never rude. And neighbors all know and care about each other.
Hope that helps.

They eat, fresh fruits and asian type food. Bean sprouts with a curry spiced sauce, with chicken, vegetables. They have starbucks, Micky D's and other western food chains in Bangkok.
Homes are like here in the city's. High rises, small and expensive in Bangkok. In the outskirts they are wooden houses, a bit run down. Not expensive to live there if you are no extravagant. I would live there if I had a residual income. A nurse at Bumrungrad Hospital makes about $300 a month back in 2005 to give you an idea.

1. Thai's love thai-food and many don't have a refrigiator. Everything is cooked fresh or they might eat a bite around the corner - mostly delicious and cheap.
2.You name it - they'll have it! Any "style" goes...
3. Thailand is unique in a way - so much freedom compared to other places.
