I have ticklish ears... really not enjoyable for me, but everyone else seems to love it. Anywho, is there a way to overcome or cease ticklishness?

Some people will tell you that it is mind over matter.

Several people have learned to control themselves when they are being tickled. some of their tricks include:

1) Relax your muscles. The more you tense your muscles, the more ticklish you are.

2) Take deep breaths and try to hold your breath. As you do this concentrate on anything other than the tickling.

3) Change your focus completely. Sing a song and focus on it. Focus on the radio or TV. Focus on a doorknob or some other inanimate object. Then tell yourself that you don't feel a thing.

And finally, there is one other solution to the problem. Just inform the offending parties that you know that you are ticklish on the ears but you do not find any pleasure in it and, furthermore, you find it annoying. Then tell them that you would appreciate it if they would respect your feelings and stop tickling you. If they persist, call them out and find out why they choose to disrespect you.

All the best to you!
