Were they alive merely 6000 years ago?

Why are both Adam and Eve created together from dust in the first chapter, but in the next it has Eve being created from Adam's rib.

Why can't God keep his/its/hers story straight?

Eve was made by God, she was the first flesh ever made.
Adam was made by the red dragon.

Eve was made on the 6th day of the 1st Age, (1st seal) more then 200 million years ago this was the age in which the whole world was one land and it was all lush and green.

All of Eve's children were born of the Spirit of God the Father, none were born by the will of men, nor of flesh, nor of blood, but of God the Father, as was Jesus, John the Baptist, Joesph, Benjamin, Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham.

Adam never had children with Eve, as Moses claimed, Adam was born of the red dragon, as were the children of Adam.

Read Revelation 12, this is the true story of Eve.

Gen 1 doesn't say both were created from the dirt. If you read the Hebrew, God only breathes life into the man - not in the case of gerenic male to describe both, but "Adam", meaning the man. Gen 2 goes into more detail as to how the two were created.

To deal with the differing stories first.
The origional jewish bible was lost to history due to the persecution of the jewish people by the romans.
The jews who flead north tried to keep the stories alive verbaly, and so did the jews who flead south.
Later they tried to rewrite their bible from the verbal stories , which had changed slightly over time. Not knowing which was now the correct one they decided to include them both.

As to the names of Adam and Eve history doesn`t tell us, but they do portray the first of the people to be of the blood "B", and come at the end of the period of the Titans. (I have always wondered if they were genetically engineered by the Titans as their blood is almost a perfect match to the gorilla)

God does keep his story straight....You need to keep yours straight.
Adam was the first one created, he was created from the dust. Then Eve was created from Adam's rib. Eve was not created from the dust.
And yes, Adam and Eve were real people.

I am sorry I was not there at that time.
These stories were written before god's Law of Evolution took over.
A story is a story.
We should not blame god for the human's stories because god never wrote stories. Men and women wrote these things and were printed by men and women.
One pious man died and went to heaven. He read the book of moses about the commandments. there was an error - the word was 'celebrate' not 'celibate'.
some human being copied it wrong!

Good question, even if it's been asked many times before. Also note that the bible has man's life expectancy at well over 100 years up until Noah, but there is no evidence of that in any human remains that we have found.

The "male and female created He them" were Adam and his first wife Lilith. She was banished because she refused to be subservient to Adam.
