Heathrow To Swindon

You will have to travel from Heathrow to Paddington on the Heathrow Connect, and then from Paddington to Swindon. The trains from Heathrow run every 20 minutes at 05, 25 and 45 minutes past the hour. There is a train which stops at Hayes and Harlington, to avoid the journey into London, but, in fact, travelling that way takes longer. You can also travel by bus from the terminal at which you arrive changing at Heathrow Central Bus Station on to a Railair bus to reading where you catch a train to Swindon. I cannot be more precise about times as you do not say when you want to travel.

Later: I and others have suggested on alternative is the RailAir bus service. This is not, in fact, quicker, than using Heathrow Connect allowing for walking time from your terminal to Heathrow Central Bus Station. The approximate time from terminal to Swindon is 1hr 50min, I hour 25min from the Central Bus Station. The time from Heathrow Central Railway Station is also approx 1hr 40. The fare is the difference - £32.50 using the bus, £51.50 using the train all the way.

Take the railair bus link from Heathrow Airport to Reading Station that runs every 20 to 30 minutes and takes about 40 minutes to Reading. Then take the First Great Western train from Reading to Swindon; they are frequent and the journey takes 35 minutes.

I would go via Heathrow, the big benefit being greater choice of airlines and therefore if you are flexible, you are bound to get a good deal. At Heathrow, get on the National Express which is about £20 and takes 80 minutes. Very easy...

You don't unless you have a fetish for railways, because it entails you going into London and back.

The better way is to take the RailAir coach from Heathrow to Reading Station (it used to operate every 30 minutes) and from there take the train to Swindon

I suggest you look on the National Rail website for timing details, as you are vague in respect of your precise needs.
