Actually, we do -- kinda. The late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen composed a prayer of "spiritually adopting" an unborn child, to be prayed daily for a full year. Those of us who do so leave the details of *which* child to God.
I'd rather pray for an unknown child than a stretch of roadway, but that's just me.
Edit: I'm pretty sure the Abp knew that gestation was for nine months, not 12, so presumably the additional three months are by way of gratitude for the child's life.

You know whats funny? Christians always preach about free will. Then they preach how abortion is so wrong. What happened to that free will?
