Question for a research paper. Please help Muslims!?

Well, I'm doing a paper on americans opinions about muslims before and after 9/11. I just need your opinion on one thing.

Do you support suicide bombings, or find in any way that they can be justified to support Islam? In this article it says nearly 1/4 of young Muslims do.

I would like to know if you do or don't, and if you do.........what are your reasonings behind it? Please help! Someone will get best answer!

I know that is strange a little but…it's my opinion…and almost of us have this opinion…..trust me I live in MiddleEast

at first....suciede is not just wrong..it's a crime
And the other point is 11/9 is not the the idol of "suicide bombings"….the better idol is in palestine…(World calls that Israel)
My opinion in two words….."it depends"
When I do that because of despair..it's a crime
Or…when I do that to kill innocents …it's a massacre….!!

But…when I do that to liberate my land and to make better life to my children….really I'll be a martyr….. I swear that is the opinion of –maybe- more than 90% of our societies…..and anyone know what Palestinian people suffers…and the story of this people….and how they have been kicked out….(I'm Palestinian…and Israel army kicked my father and grandfather out)…and how Israel steal the land………anyone know that..can understand my view..

I know as Americans ..it's so difficult to understand that….but try to live hear and maybe you will one of them…

Look….I hate 11/9…it was a massacre….and who did that were NOT martyrs….they were criminals….

But we were exposed to worst massacres..!!!
Please….don't feel that I'm a criminal….and try to imagine your land….your family…in similar case…..maybe you will understand

The last point…. Is the "suicide bombings" (the martyrs) in Palestine….even in the last moments…..were full of hope….yes of hope..and I can give you a million proof for that….even from the Israeli witnesses….

So….please again….don't be disappointed of me…..really that my people's opinion

I do not support suicide bombings for any reason, before or after.

Historically, terrorism is doomed to failure. it has never once in history achieved the political goals it professed to seek. It is therefore a senseless act, and criminal.

I was ambivalent about Muslims before 9/11. I didn't know any, but assumed they were not much different from anyone else.

Since 9/11, I have studied Islam and it's roots, and have engaged in correspondences with a number of Muslims around the world.

What I have found is that Islam is a mind-control cult promulgated by a cult leader who was possibly insane, and definitly criminal. Muslims living in Dar-al-Islam exist in a separate reality from the west, where history is written differently, and facts take a back seat to a fantasy reality that is invented to hide the obvious shortcomings of an inconsistent religion. Western logic as taught by the ancient greeks is disdained because the reality of Islam is antithetical to logic.

Insanity may be described as the clinging to a belief that is demonstrably false, to the detriment of the believer.

It is a serious mistake to assume that a common understanding can be achieved with a population, when that population has been trained from birth to be certifiably insane.

For the Islamic converts, I feel they have been sold a bill of goods, and have not explored the roots of Islam. Like most cults, this can be very attractive to someone who does not have a good foundation in history, sociology or theology. That a Christian can convert to Islam tells me that the Christian did not know much about Christianity.

salaam, I am totally against suicide bombings as it is totally against islam. Islam clearly states that suicide takes you no where except hell and let analyze what suicide bombing actually does, a guy straps bomb to himself , goes into a crowded place blows himself up killing himself and dozens of other innocent ppl. So, what solution can possibly come out of it, the man just makes it even for ppl of his community, first thing he doesnt find a solution to his problem, second thing kills innocent ppl which islam forbids, islam attributes the killing of one innocent person to the killing of the whole of humanity regardless of his/her faith and third thing ppl hate his community more cz of his actions. Even if that individual suffered any sort of injustice in his lifetime , the killing of one innocent cannot be justified by the murder of another.

Before 9/11 a lot of ppl in the west didnt know what islam or muslims were nd the ppl who knew , didnt know real islam most of em thought they were ppl who worshipped a black box and stuff , that is what i hear from christians who converted after the 9/11 incident, that was the case of majority of the ppl in the west.

And after 9/11 a lot of ppl know that the muslim,christian and jewish faith interconnects at some point or the other, but they still dont know proper islam bcz of the false propaganda spread by the media but tht is also why ppl are accepting islam, when they here something bad the ppl wanna look it up and when the look it up they get to know what the truth is , many ppl converted bcz of ppl who spread lies about islam like salman rushdie, ali sina, irshad munji etc etc.

So basically suicide is haram cz life is a gift given by Allah (S.W.A) and only he has the right to take it away , but that doesnt mean that u r not allowed to go to a war if ur country is being attacked, A lot of muslims say that they condemn suicide , period!.I support that But i say we shld also condemn the injustice being done on the palestinian ppl, on the iraqis , in afghanistan, prisoner being tortured in guantana mo prison camp and so many muslims across the globe.

ok, Im a middle easter muslim so ill give you a pure opinion and tell you what most people here think.

muslims here have always known that america's congress always make muslims look bad to the media such as " against woman's rights against freedem and such such"


after 9/11:

when first bin ladin came out believe me some people kind of got happy and thought that the man is just tryin his best in a wrong way when things gotten way too far people here realized that he's a fake one especially when religous men in saudi arabia considered bin ladin and his followers are out of the islam nation-saudi arabia took his citizenship away in 90's. when middle east got bombed no one supported any terrorsits.

no real muslim would ever ever support them however, they say well atleast they give them a taste of their own medicen.




how did terrorists thingy started ?

well, 1) flip verese in quran that are hard to define and need some pro to look deep in them and its hard for an average muslim to define them

2) brainwash youngs kids and make them believe its jehad time , bring someone like bin ladin. you got your self a terrorist cell.

NO NO NO! ISLAM does not permit suicide bombings. Actually there are some fanatics who take advantage of vulnerable minds of young muslims. They pull them into such acts by citing to them verses form the holy QURAAN which talk about people getting rewarded with paradise on the DAY OF JUDGEMENT as well as verses which talk about killing infidels. All such verses have a context and should never be read in its apparent meaning alone. Problem is many muslims do not read QURAAN with translation and those who do, do not read it with the explanatory texts, as a result they can be influenced into doing such things easily. SUICIDE is not allowed in ISLAM, LEAVE ALONE SUICIDE BOMBINGS.

i'm in the philippines, a muslim convert for about 30 years, and only in the family of christians.
Before 9/11, they just thought i was into islam only to be able to marry more than 1 wife, but i'm not a womanizer.Then on the day of 9/11, my sister, who works in international travel and stay mostly in the US was so mad at me, bc the media portrayed the bombs were by muslims extremist. About me, i could not believed what i saw that there were footages of islamic communities rejoicing on that terrible day bc i myself would not liked killings, especially of innocent lives, and co-religions too.For me, if they portrayed it was done by arab looking guys, then, it's not islam, for islam would not provoke war as Allah swt stated in the quran "fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you but begin not hostilities for Allah loved not aggressors." So it's very clear, islam has nothing to do with it. I defended by then but my sister was super furios at me.Wow,and Lol!
After 2 or 3 years, she sent me an email about this 9/11 controversies and loose change on you tube. She did not asked for apology , but she had presented her case down, i'm free from her wrong judgement aobut 9/11. Alhamduallah! The truth will always reveal itself in time.

Islam doesnt allow killing of innocent people whether by suicide bombing or anything else....There is difference of opinion among the Islamic scholars regarding ur question...some say it's completely prohibited....but there is another group of Islamic scholars which say that it should be used as the last and final resort(as a war strategy) when there is no other way of fighting in order to avoid a bigger damage.If a person risks his life for the sake of preventing a bigger damage(e.g,saving thousands of people by putting his life in danger),then it is allowed but only,if there is no other way of preventing it......However,in Islam killing of innocents is prohibited.
personally,i am not in the favour of suicide bombings.

I remember when the bombing in Oklahoma City happened and everybody swore it was Muslims and when it turned out to be Americans, there was no apology to the Muslims ( I wasn't Muslim then) I knew the Muslims would become the new bad guys.

First of all Muslims did not bomb 9/11 it was the american governement and the west. osama was clearly not smart enough to plot such a perfect plan (but sad and unfortuant) to bomb the towers...just think about it. and osama's brother is friends with the president of the USA.
