If the Bible is correct then yes. Jesus comments on the fact that if you imagine yourself committing a sin then it is the same as committing a sin in real life. If God could not see/hear your thoughts in same way then he would not know if you had imagined committing a sin so Jesus' words would have been pointless.

But then again that's only if the Bible has anything right. According to the Bible, God likes it when you burn meat yet you don't see that happening during Sunday mass.

Obviously, at least for Christianity. Christianity is based on belief so no one gets to heaven unless they *believe* Jesus was divine.

Not so much for Jews since Judaism is based on action rather than belief. We pray for inspiration for our actions rather than petitioning favors.

In Judaism, we may think whatever we like of our neighbor as long as we treat all of our neighbors with hasadim -- loving kindness. If Christianity were a religion of action rather than belief, we might have avoided many tragedies of the past -- and probably many more of the future! We CANNOT stand idly by as our neighbor's blood is being spilled.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my freind.

Insha'Allah, Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, knows all things. He created us and He well knows all that we will do, say, think and believe from even prior to our creation.

Ma'a salaam.
