I use the soap that I bathe with when I'm out of shaving gel and need to shave. Just make sure that you are well lathered and work fast, soap has a tendency to dry and it dries out your skin and that can cause razor burn.

No, you can't get easily cut using soap any more than you can get easily cut using shaving gel/creams. The cuts happen then you press too hard on your skin or shave over the folds in your skin at the ankle or your knees.

I use soap too when im running out of shaving gel, try using the ones that lathers well, like Dove soaps. I suggest that you use hair conditioner as substitute instead.

DONT USE SOAP
it dries the skin
use hair conditioner instead, you wont get a lather as with foam/gel etc, but it softens the hair and gives the smoothest shave you will ever have, strange but true
