The Royal Mail is in a total mess at the moment. They're still catching up from those strikes a couple of weeks ago. You should allow 2 weeks before assuming it's lost.

Royal Mail say 3-5 working days for standard parcels but I've had some that have taken 15 days, unfortunately it's pot luck, I try not use them anymore I'm sick of the f**k ups!
Royal Mail class a parcel as lost after 3 weeks then u have to fill in a form and wait for them to make a decision, it's only been 5 working days so I wouldn't panic yet.

They usually keep them for about a week awaiting collection but they might have different rules for overseas parcels because that'll cost them to send back, wouldn't it? Ask at your local post office, you can probablyarrange to have the parcel held for you or delivered somewhere else - always worth checking

i agree with a lot of you, whats the point they seem to deliver only what they want, when they want.
however special delivery may charge about £5, but it should arrive within 24 hours, and i was told that for at least the 2 weeks the only parcels and letters being concentrated on are those sent via special delivery.

There is a question in another section about how long a honeymoon should last most of the answers should fit quite nicely here too.
