When I was breastfeeding, I did not use medicine other than a single aspirin or Tylenol. Rather, I would purpose to soothe my throat with one of the following.

Suck on hard candy
Sip on iced juices or sodas
Eat cold ice cream
Cold applesauce
Warm Cream of Wheat
Sip on hot tea with sugar or honey

Your doctor can give you an antibiotic if it is needed. Anything will pass in your breast milk, but it will be ok. Some doctors worry more about that than others. My doctor never worried about it. It comes through in a very small dose.

a little bit of honey in your tea might be soothing . better than the chemicals you get from dr either over the counter or behind the counter.

Anything taken will affect the lil one so consult your doctor. Right now gargle with salt water or vinegar and water. Consult your doctor.

any of those anaelgesic lozenges are ok, in moderation, but they are very temporary so you might want to just try honey
