Not sure what happened it did 45% and then the screen just went black computer stayed on though then it reset itself? now wheneva i play a game and there is sound the is a fuzz backround noise Please help quick big thanx to any1 who can be of help.

What the PS3 did was normal. There has been times whenever my PS3 was in the middle of an update and I guess it just finished faster that what was displayed on the screen or something and my T.V. screen went black and the PS3 restarted it's self. But I always do my updates by saving them on a SD memory card or on a USB drive.
But, I'm not sure about a fuzz background noise though, I haven't had that problem before. It may just be the T.V. or something.

the fuzz thing is the video cable just unplug it out of your ps3 and plug it back in

Try to redownload the update, or if that doesnt work get on the phone to PS tech support...they are great!
