With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

Allow me to first state that I do not recommend anyone try this.
Surviving, as in staying alive can be numerous weeks on water alone.
Doing damage to the body will likely take place.
Total loss of the sensation of hunger, as I recall was about the 3rd week. This was a serious problem, as the sensation did not return for a number of years. In the process of later re-learning to eat, forcing the self to purpose to eat, and remembering to do so can be an ongoing undesireable health problem.
Stress of the body deepens as the body's nutrients are depleated. The person is left feeling weak and ill.
Functioning of the mind's ability to reason and make decisions becomes impaired, adding considerably to the person's stress. Depression is likely to accompany the condition of starvation.

Depends on your metabolism. i think those with faster metabolisms would probably have a lower chance of survival. I know of one girl who was an anorectic that claimed she fasted for 4 months. That blows my mind.On average it's about 30 days without food and 3 days without water.

Oh dear. Looking at those answers I feel awful. I did the 40 hour famine for charity, and I lasted about... 20 hours before I started complaining. I finished the 40 hour famine, obviously, but I was not a happy person. ><

I've done it before it was not cool. You lose you're body strength and you start to lose body fat. The stomach will abstain with water and keep you Hydrated but it's not good with out food. Sometimes people say I need to lose weight and they think starving them self's will get them to lose weight. That's not true you lose you're body fat but then you go back to eating and you more and more because you need to get back to you're human body system. You're body starts to shut down with out food for 2 weeks you get weaker and weaker. It's not a good road to go down. Please don't try doing this.
