In the past couple of weeks, I've noticed that some of answers that I would have thought non-offensive received the thumbs down thing. I've given thumbs down to people before, but I was just curious what kind of bad an answer has to be before you'll click on the little thumbs down icon beneath it.

I thumbs down those who make stupid, inflammatory, or rude remarks. Some people td those answers they disagree with, but just because I happen to not share someone's opinion doesn't make it a bad answer, so I avoid passing out td's for the most part.

Now thumbs up are a different matter entirely. I love handing them out, along with stars, and I don't necessarily have to agree with you in order for you to receive one.

It doesn't have to be offensive or non-offensive. It depends on do I agree with the statement or not. Sometimes I give thumbs-up to a statement that made me smile even if I don't entirely agree.

I dont rate according to whether an answer agrees or disagrees. I do it according to thought, whether it is fact or not, if it is hurtfull or demeaning to me or anybody else. Also if it is wise, or stupid.
