people have one night stand and don't even care about the effect they leave behind

Why have things changed so much since when? 1947? People are horny pigs, it's been that way as far back as I can remember. Human beings usually want to get sexual satisfaction somehow, I think "most" people would prefer that to be inside of a loving relationship, but not everyone can find that kind of love, so they settle for what they (can) get. The best thing you can do is (not) worry about what other people do, keep your standards high.

People sleep around because it is fun and it spices up your life. It's good to try new things. A better question is why not sleep around (that is if you're practicing safe sex).
And things haven't changed so much. Each era has its own identity and culture. In the 60's everyone slept around, in fact it was easier. I heard that you can meet a girl and sleep with her a few hours later. I would love to have lived in that era.

things have not changed. Ever heard of the 60's? People sleep around because they are lonely and bored and have nothing better to do. They have no respect for themselves or the people they are with. Disappointment is a human condition.

because sex is exploited everywhere , tv , commerical ads , music just to name a few ... it has become acceptable to have sex with someone we have no feeling for , someone we dont even know and we use the excuse because its fun and its an adventure ... so when we end up with a std or pregnancy we can ask ..how did this happen to me ... i think sex is better when there are actual emotions involved and real caring ...

In the U.S., you get government checks for your kids, so the women run around. Long time ago you would loose you kid because of no food stamps and welfare.

it been my experience that if a man is satisfied he wont sleep around , i know thats my thing . i found females are more wild then men. some people wat variety but mostly if they are happy they will stick with just one.
