Clergymen in who's religion marriage is prohibited for them don't get married.....so how do you think that these people control themselves from the feelings of sex? The other query is about masturbation which is totally prohibited in all religions. What about the people who follow strictly the rule of "No masturbation"? Does lack of masturbation have any problem with health? Do you think these people can control and hide their feelings and abstain from masturbation?

Q1- That's the problem we are having with the Catholic Church, there are numerous court cases recently of priests who abused children and nuns 20,30, & 40 years ago. This is because the Roman Catholic doctrine teaches so which of course as you can tell is not right and is not biblical, it's all the deceit of the devil. God made us with sexual feelings which are meant to expressed in their right context. But for the catholics to say that if you a clergyman or otherwise you are to refrain from these feelings is utterly wrong. Countless priests have abused nuns and young boys, why? this is because they obviously could not stop these natural sexual feelings. (you can read more on this issue in Bernard Rosenberg's book it's on the internet, just type in his name). This gentleman was a priest and he reveals the insides of the Roman Catholic church, you will be shocked beyond belief. Also you can listen to a nun's testimony at "spiritlessons.com, this nun's testimony is an eye opener, it will probably make you cry, I was on the verge of tears as I listened to what human beings can do to others all in the name of religion.

Q2- Masturbation is sexual perversion, God created the sexual organs to be used in specific ways, anything outside that totally distorts God's purposes and is not Holy. Religion or no religion anyone can refrain from masturbation, all that needs to be done is to channel that energy into activities that keep one occupied and refraining from movies and books that may steer in that direction.

Reaching climax when you're sleeping is a way to vent our sexual needs nothing wrong with that at all.. masturbation is a sin if you can control your sexual desire by avoiding sexual excitation as possibly as you can if the urge is so intense you couldn't control it then in this case masturbation is much far better solution than committing an adultery .. masturbation is just a sin nothing to do with your believe in God .. even if one is married and think only on his/her spouse still it is a sinful act .. actually it is more sinful for a married person because he/she has the ability to fulfill their sexual desires lawfully through their spouses.

I'm sure they break this rule. It is a normal human habit. Many religions deign basic human feelings, or human emotions and label them as sin.

I would think it would be a don't ask don't tell rule. lol

That is their affair, and their commitment, much as a married man or woman who is tempted to commit adultery.

Temperance is becoming a lonely virtue it seems.
