People KEEP saying this to me. Even men, even good friends of mine who are men. It makes me unhappy and paranoid and worried that I'm going to get stamped all over by men all the time. I am trying not to believe this. But why do so many people say it? There must be some truth in it? I hope not!

You know it's not true. In fact, I think you know that the majority of men are not bastards, it's just the small minority that screws us around! The best lies have a small bit of truth in them. Women just say this when they've had a bad experience and are feeling hurt.
Please don't get paranoid, you'll be able to deal with it if it ever arises. Just stick up for yourself!
I hope you start feeling better soon and meet some decent guys that can prove this saying wrong :)

No, not all men are bastards. At least no more of them are bastards than women are bitches. In fact, men and women are so similar that you can probably find your answer in looking at women. To me it seems that a woman will tear a man's heart out and light it on fire as often as a man will try to use a woman for his own desires.
People just accuse the opposite sex of
For example, if all the women a man dates decide to betray him, cheat, and generally rip him apart, then he's not likely to want to treat women with respect as people. Women on the other hand aren't likely to trust a man who doesn't treat her with respect. So you see how this goes around in circles and just keeps getting worse.
You can help to reduce the tendencies of the opposite sex to do such things to you by not doing the corresponding bad things to them. On the flip side, you can do the exact same compounding circles with good things. So be kind, be careful, and I'm sure your options will be much more open than those who are not kind or careful.

All men are men. And they are different than women. they have different standards and rules and they are so different than what we want and need and we just don't get it so we label them bastards. You won't get stomped on unless you let them. That is the key. alot of women will do anything to attract someone and over look all the red flags that fly in your face. For example: if he smokes when you meet him and you don't like it but put up with it cuz you like him, later you will want him to stop and be angry that he won't quit for you, that he doesn't care enough about you to quit and he does it in your face he's such a bastard. Get it? Men will get away with whatever they can. Be true to you and you will be fine.

Presently, some sectors of our society support male bashing because it seems to be trendy. Don't believe it. And please don't engage in it. There are plenty of very nice men out there who know how to treat a woman like a lady and be gentlemen themselves. They may be getting fewer and fewer, but they are out there.
Unfortunately, the dating scene has gotten more aggressive in terms of people doing mean and hateful things to one another if ever they are disappointed, get jealous, are cheated on, etc. Some of the mean things that women do to men are absolutely deplorable and these are the ones that make some men say "All women are beeyatches". So the door swings both ways.
Keep good standards about you and just remember the Golden Rule in your treatment of others. I don't know your age but try to stick with a more professional crowd as you may find higher standards of behavior there. Lack of education and cultural upbringing leads in many cases to bad behavior and poor treatment of others.

Men can be jerks...but not bastards. We just think on logic with facts so much opposed to our emotions. So yeah, guys are jerks but not all out bastards plotting the downfall of the female society with some massive cult like some think.

I had the same problem with women! I thought the same about them till I meet my wife 31 years ago. Tread carefully and remember, Fools Rush In.
There are some good people still here and you have to find them.
Try going to dance lessons.

you see what you want to see in people, some guys are wonderful and will fulfill you with all the love that you can handle. The women are the one(s) that create the issues

im not a bastard, but men and women are different in how they think, especially when it comes to the opposite sex.
