Huh? Corporations spend billions on pollution control, including control of green house gases. Why do you think they don't?
The environment is cleaner now than it was 50 years ago.
If the environmentalist would let us generate power using modern technology, nuclear power, we could cut ghg's even further.

They are, often. They usually carry insurance to pay the fines, when they simply make a mistake.
But it's not clear that insurance companies will cover damages caused by global warming. Willful acts with foreseeable consequences are generally not covered.
Actually, I almost agree with Jello on this one. But it's not environmentalists blocking nuclear power. Most environmentalists these days support nuclear power to fight global warming. Businessmen think the plants (which almost always had huge cost overruns) are too risky a proposition. A good stiff carbon tax would fix that problem.

Pay attention to what Dr Jello said. And if you want to blame someone for pollution why don't you blame your heroes the eco-freaks. Al Gore flies around in a private jet and consumes 20 times as much electricity as the average citizen. Barbara Streisand demands that we all ride bicycles and turn down our thermostats to conserve energy while air conditioning her 12,000 square foot barn so she will be comfortable while visiting her horses.
These are just some of the leaders of the global warming hoax who insist it is the big bad corporations who are causing all the problems. Well, you gotta blame somebody. That is so much easier than accepting personal responsibility and actually doing something about the problem.

To a limited extent they are, but mainly because they influence governments due to lobbying and the fact that they pay governments through tax and provide employment. None of this is excusable, but that's the process. The problem is really that responsibility is always absent from the immediate situation, so the answer is to be responsible for as much as possible oneself, and do it right.

bill and jello get it right.......there are literally thousand of pages of laws and rules regarding what businesses in the US and Europe can put into the atmosphere and literally tens of thousands of state city and federal government employees regulating this ( ever hear of the EPA?)
Now in China, the worlds largest producer of greenhouse gasses there is no regulation and things are so bad there is a serious health risk to the athletes going to compete in the Olympics......
so if you really care about GW and the Earth's environment. look and see if what you are buying says "Made in China"......and then put it back on the shelf
