I'm agnostic/athiest. But i could easily answer your question from my undertsanding of religion.
You are looking at it as two waring sides one who is good (right) and one who is evil (wrong). But thats not what christianity says; what it says is that the world is a balance of good and evil (created by God) and that the Devil and Hell are the evil - thats why they talk about the devil leading people into the temtation to do bad things.
The bible defines things that are evil such as torture and suffering, therefore if you go to hell (which embodies evil) this is what you get. Its not the devil building an army of loyal servants, the devil and hell are torture and suffering. If you sin you become evil and this is what you get.
In short you are thinking about it it from a human perspective where religion in general deals with cosmic forces of good and evil.
If the devil rewarded sinners then he would be doing good for them and therefore whould not be evil. Thats also why God offers salvation to sinners because he is the only one capable of tis kindness, the dvil and hell can only punish because they ARE in fact evil (not just because they choose to be but because that is what they actually are).
Hope that helps!

Traditionally, Hell is a place of punishment, divided into 9 regions or levels depending on the major sin of the guilty individual. The 8th level, would sort of be like a penthouse suite, as that was where the devil was. the VERY first leve (though not officially) was called Limbo, and was supposed to be a place where the people who were born either before Christ or ignorant of Christ were assigned to go when they died.
But my personal belief is that Hell is a place where you are condemned to live you deepest fear over and over again. For example, someone afraid of claustrophobia might be condemned to spend eternity in a box, only to be let out for a few moments to see some really cool stuff, and then shoved back in again.
But sometimes I doubt the existence of Hell. we have less evidence of such a place than we have evidence of a god. But I also believe that hell is a place where one goes if they BELIEVE they should go there.
The devil is a gross distortion of a creature from Job called Satan, which was translated out to mean Adversary. It doesn't necessarily mean that the Adversary is bad, but means that a person is out to argue a different point, or in this case, a metaphysical being called THE DEVIL. The current image of the devil is a composite of deities from religions that THE Church wanted to squash, deities such as Pan and Cernunnos. (Hellenistic & Celtic faiths respectfully). But why would THE DEVIL look like that, as stories indicate that this being is a fallen angel?
My image of this creature is a well dress and groomed man in a business suit. Gifted with a silver tongue and dressed in the finest fashions, and more like a CEO than a slobbering and beastly creature designed to torture people. Why do that, when you have minions?
But like Hell, I believe that THE DEVIL exists only if we allow it to. I'm not saying neither Hell or THE DEVIL is real, but I'm saying the existence of such things (as well as heaven) rely on the belief of the individual.

Actually, the idea of pain in this world has to do with turning to or away from God. We see here on Yahoo! answers many proclamations that God does not exist because there is so much pain and suffering in the world. I have seen children die and my first thoughts were that there was no God. I believed that for the longest time. It was simply not possible for such an innocent person to perish and God exists. I was truly upset.
I was corrected. When we see suffering or feel sorrow, we need to turn our faces toward God. We will continue to feel the pain and sorrow but with the right connection our minds will stay the course. We will feel the compassion and know what to do.
It helps sometimes to think that the people who have moved on have gone to a better place, God would never abandon them.
Lucifer ramps up the pain and suffering to get us to turn away from and deny God. You've got to resist the urge to deny. So Lucifer will not reward. Rewards will not turn us away from God.

I don't believe in God or the devil or heaven or hell, but I used to. Back when the bible was written, torture and death by hideous means (for example, burning) were common place. I believe that those who wrote religious texts had to come up with a consequence so horrible that no one would dare even think about straying from the path. What could be more horrible than eternal torture and burning?

If you look at the hebrew word for hell (Sheol) you will see that it means the common grave of mankind ... not a burning place of torture. Churches use the idea of constant place of torture to keep people afraid and keep them giving them money to pay their way out of that place ... all in vain since there is no place like that. At Eccesiates 9:5 it says .. For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all. BUt I am sure you have heard what Jesus said at John 8:32 You will know the truth and the truth shall set you free. You may ask yourself how so. Do you know the model prayer that Jesus taught his disciples asking for God's kingdom to come to the earth. Well someday that government will be ruling over the entire earth and on that day man can say that the meek shall inherit the earth. Mankind then can look at living on earth forever since death will be done away with. No more pain or outcry... Revelation 21:4; John 5: 28,29; Isaiah 33:24 and there are many more. As for the wicked prospering now well it makes sense since Satan is the ruler of this system of things 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 Your question is not new even Soloman asked this question ... Solomon continued: “Everything I have seen during my vain days. There exists the righteous one perishing in his righteousness, and there exists the wicked one continuing long in his badness.”—Eccl. 7:15.

Love = God Sin = devil If the devil replaced into something yet organic evil, he does not be the devil.. He likes hurting human beings. God is the single that sends each and all of the evil to hell.... Evil is evil. It shows no mercy in case you suspect in the devil or not. he's struggling with God and utilising human beings as his weapons ideal here in the international. And the devil loses in the tip. in the tip, the sin is seperated from people who have faith in God. in case you haven't got faith in God he can not take your sins away. Hell isn't a place the place human beings flow and loaf around with the devil! And devil isn't there tourturing them. The sin that they could not enable flow is the rationalization they flow to hell.

Hell is basically the underworld. Where only evil people reside. The devil is evil so it's obvious that he does evil things to sinners.

Are you a clown and also blind?
Sure the devil is rewarding sinners, giving them the glory of the world. See what his groupies would do when one truly turns to God? They rile, and they curse and say all manner of wickedness .......................
is that not a common response amongst the atheists?
and are you asking so that you may repent? what is the motive of your heart?

he doesn't need to torture them.just being in hell alone is enough torture for sinners.he cannot reward sinners bcoz it is not in his nature.he is only capable of hate, punishment, etc
so sinners beware!!you are working for someone who does'nt even acknowlege and reward you.
