Vision Express?
Spec Savers?
D & A?

Who do you prefer and why?

I like spec savers as they seem more interested in your eyesight than in how much they can sting you for on a pair of glasses. Good prices & quick service.

Me, me , me , me , me!
(But I'm currently retired)

I would tend to avoid *any* of the big chains unless I knew that the local staff were particularly good, by personal recommendation.

I resigned from posts in two different large groups because I was expected to behave in ways I considered unethical, and not in the interest of the peopleI would be examining.

That isn't to say all independents are great: they're not. But asking around for local reputation remains the most reliable guide.

I would say Boots. The girls in Boots are usually much fitter than in the other places. Especially Vision Express. They're pig ugly in Vision Express.

I'm with specsavers, but I feel their range is a little low, (I'm picky). Cheap tho.
