A friend of mine purchase a Toshiba HD-DVD player model HD-A2KU and it comes with a remote control, power cord and a composite audio/video cable (3 colors yellow-video, red and white for audio). It does not come with any HD connection cable.

i think of it relatively is totally lots and what sparked me to enhance. i'm interior a similar boat as you. offered and HDTV in 2001, had a particularly reliable participant from 2002 (The Panasonic RP-ninety one), yet desperate to enhance to HD-DVD. Amazon has a extreme-high quality cost on it for Memorial Day. the reliable: At worst a reliable DVD participant, plus you could start procuring/renting HD-DVDs. particularly affordable cost, plus you get the 5 unfastened video clips from Toshiba. The undesirable: The format struggle will forestall some titles from being on HD-DVD, a minimum of for now (i.e. Sony/Columbia titles are one studio unique to HD-DVD). i do no longer see an end coming to that struggle every time quickly. entire revenues stay small, and although Blue Ray has been prevailing the present revenues, HD-DVD could make a extensive dent with the Toshiba advertising. The Bad2: i'm no longer a hundred% in this, yet i'm asking the same question on yahoo solutions. i'm wager your previous television does not have HDMI or maybe DVI. without an HDMI hook-up, i'm undecided how lots earnings you get from upconversion. although in case you improve your television, you're waiting to choose for the destiny. I made the plunge, so i individually think of that's a precious investment. i like video clips, i might like to have HD-DVD features, and the cost grow to be particularly low. So I did it. and whether HD-DVD loses, i'm going to nevertheless have a participant to play any discs I very own.
