Any column belonging to a table within a relational database which provides a unique identifier and which could be used as a legitimate alternative to the primary key.

the "alt" key in your keyboard.

one main function of the alt key is for the ascii codes. try pressing alt and a 2,3 or 4-digit numbers. these are the examples
