Why do you have to belong to an organised religion? You are a spiritual person with your own beliefs, you dont need someone to tell you what else to believe. Your beliefs are just as valid as someone elses.
Be yourself, be proud that you can think for yourself and live YOUR life the way that YOU think is correct and fair.

I totally agree with your responder, 'starlight'! I too am a Christian as well as a Native American.
Praying to anyone other that the One True God, is a very dangerous place to be! Read the Bible...I do believe that it will help you "sort things out!"
Ps 25:5 - guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Ps 43:3 - Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
Ps 145:18 - The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Joh 8:32 - Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Joh 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
May you seek the TRUTH in all honesty and may you find a true relationship with Jesus Christ!

Look up "ancestor worship" in google and that will get you started. In Japan, Shinto is the native version. Many other indiginous groups practice or believe in worshiping ancestors, and most serious scholars of religion acknowledge that most formal religions have at least part of their roots in ancestor worship.
But as a serious atheist myself, I'd have to also say that when you've explored such things sufficiently, perhaps you'll consider reality without the supernatural, wrinkles and all. It's harder, but ultimately better. Wishing you luck!

You're a Pagan, sweetie. What you are doing is called Ancestor Worship and it's common to most indigenous cultures. I believe your Grandpa is watching out for you, too.
Get a copy of Ariadne's Thread by Shekhinah Mountainwater. If will feel familiar.

Your religion should be with the religion your are into as is as have been baptized. Your choice is to denounce of what your mind is made of as is or chose another that fits yourself. But for one thing your grandfather's is the best religion for you.

I guess you're like the ancient Chinese, who worship their ancestors. I really don't know. I don't think they believed in angels. I think you believe in a mix of several religions.
I'm a Christian and I believe that Jesus is the one and only God.
