I personally never have, but I know someone who has. It was terrible for the family. They were very worried. When the girl was returned back home, she realized that life was not as tuff as she thought it was. She went through alot of crap. There are alot of sick people out there looking to take advantage of young people. If you consider running away, there are people who can guide you in the right direction. Talk to school councelors. They can point you to organizations that can help.

When my husband and I were first married, we started to have children and our only child, ran away. We were so afraid, that after looking for him and not finding him we finally called the police in. It turns out that he went on an adventure, and walked the fields on our farm, and ended up all the way down by the marsh area. There's a water tank down there where the cows get to drink when they're thirsty. He was wearing a white T-shirt at the time. I think that he learned his lesson from that incident. We were so afraid that we would never see him again, alive. Always tell your parents where you're going if there's anybody out there that's 18 or younger. Even if you are still living with your parents and you're much older, like in your twenties, it's important to leave the lines of communication open and write them a note letting them know where you went, or telling them in advance about your plans.

I ran away from home at 17 because I was pregnant. I knew my parents would go nuts & try to bully me into an abortion so it was easier to deal with thme from a distance. I'm glad I stuck to my guns because I now have a 15 year old I'm very proud of. ☺

When I was 16 I planned to run away. My father was physically abusive and I made up my mind I wasn't going to let him hit me ever again. I saved up enough babysitting money to buy a bus ticket to my grandmother's house (I wasn't stupid enough to run away and live on the streets), but oddly enough, my Dad stopped hitting me around then. So I ended up not running away. It was kind of weird.

i packed a bag, and walked to my grandads, who promptly returned me home!! i was about 12, very unsuccessful i have to say

try to talk to someone about it before running i would say!!
