This is one of my pet peeve's! I guess for alot of people, they substitute these others words because of a lack of education in they're background. I know I have a neighbor and last week he was outside with some friends, and I had my door open because it was nice. And settting in our living room I must have heard the MF words about 40 times in the course of an hour! I wanted so bad to go next door and ask him, is you name MF? Because he calls everything that! Not to mention the fact that he was talking real loud and obviously I did not like the fact that my 13 year old was hearing this lovely word used at nausim! Anyone else relate to this, or know a friend or neighbor like mine maybe?

Is it possible to speak with your neighbour and explain that your son can hear what he is saying when he is outside?

It sounds like he has gotten into the habit of using this word to the point where he does not even hear it anymore. I know what that's like ~ in my last job there was a LOT of swearing, and I fell into the habit of it. I didn't realise how much until I started my current job, where no-one swears at all! Suddenly, it was VERY noticeable, lol.

Most people understand if a parent is concerned about something, and as long as you don't make it seem as though you are criticising him personally, he may be agreeable to hold off using the language outside.

Otherwise, you may have to decide whether you want to keep your door closed or consult your local civic authority to see if you can get a noise or offensive behaviour order against him.

Best wishes ! :-)

well, i'm educated, don't worry about that, sometimes you just pick the words up due to the people who are around you that cuss all the time-it's really hard to stop cussing unless someone is constantly reminding you to quit

We all have our pet peeves-mine is poor grammer and spelling. And yet I'm sure you would be offended if I asked you to work on yours. Children are being exposed to it.
