Are the "American Medical Association"(AMA) agianst the government?They're not under the government, right?

p.s. About the universal health insurance, does the AMA disgree with the US government? Do u have any information about the debate over the universal health insurance?

The AMA is within the government, they really don't have political opinions or views "public" The AMA or members' aka: Doctors don't want Universal Health, they have seen first hand what that has done to doctors & patients in Canada, UK, etc

AMA is a private organization of MDs.
All healthcare provider organizations from American Nurses Association to American Pharmacists Association are against socialized medicine. To do it properly, you would have to start rationing healthcare to the elderly and premature. You would only have a choice of one to two medications per class.
