i was looking through some questions about weather or not guys find peircings and tattoo's on women attractive, and it made me kind of mad when i read the answers. just about every guy said somthing implying that tattoos are only hot on guys and if a girl get's it, it's probably for attention. this makes me want to find one of these stupid guys and punch em' in the face. i envy girls with the guts to get tons of tattoos and pericings. i think they're beautiful. and the few that i do have, i didn't get to impress any dumb man. i get them because they are beautiful, a way of expressing myself and because i love art and what could be more appealing to an artist than becoming a peice of walking art. is it only conservative main stream males who feel this way, how about more alternative looking guys, do you think female body mods are gross?

I have 18 tattoos, dragons, skulls, a pair of winged hearts, a few symbols, etc. None of them are girly with the exception of my toe (its a flower that covers the knuckle with vines extending down to the tip of my toe and to my foot). On top of the fact that I have some evil looking tattoos, I live in conservative North Carolina but I never hear any criticism about the tattoos from guys, its always from women (young and old), guys always compliment the skulls. I've even had a preacher compliment my foot while his wife was standing there looking in disgust.
Like I posted in another question, its society. People are judgemental and the best thing you can do is just ignore it. If your want body mods, get them and screw what anyone else says, its your body, your idea of what is beautiful, and something that no one can ever take away from you. There will always be guys that thinks its gross, and there will always be guys that thinks that it is gorgeous.

I have found just the opposite of you. Mostly women insult my tattoos. But the way I look at it is my husband thinks I am gorgeous and my true friends think the same. Do what you want in life because life really is too short to worry what others think of you. I could care less if my neighbor thinks I look trashy...something must be missing from her life if she has nothing else to do but talk about me. If you love tattoos then have them...if you don't..don't. People in this country get so touchy about what others do with their lives. I personally don't care if you cover yourself in tattoos and go home to your gay lover and a bondage room. Whatever in life makes you happy is what you should do. Screw everyone else. Don't make your last day on earth a day of regret. Live the life you love.

My boyfriend and I are both left field when it comes to our interests: we enjoy death metal and vampiric fetishes. He used to have his hair long, but was required to cut it for his job. He currently has a nipple piercing and is contemplating getting a tattoo, but is willing to wait on it until he's a bit older so there's little room for regret. I, on the other hand, only have six piercings altogether, three in each ear. I brought up the notion of me getting any more or even any tattoos, and his feelings are that there is no need for that, as I should preserve the beauty of my skin the way it is.
The thing is, I totally understand people who wish to put those life experiences to ink and appreciate a visible form of self-expression, but it all depends on who the person is. Personally, that kind of expression is not too radical for me, but instead something I don't feel the need to pursue.
It all depends on the person. Just keep in mind that you should wear what you do have with passion.
Keep on rockin', girl ;)

I LOVE THEM! My husband always jokes with me that I would leave him for a tattoed woman! I just think they are BEAUTIFUL! I would LOVE to have the guts to do it one day! I only have 3 as of now, but I am DEF working on it! Keep in mind the tattoos have to be tastefull & not manly, then they may come off tacky & for attention. But I love it when women get beautiful feminin pieces of art on there body! It's so HOT! My husband agrees! He loves my tattoos, he thinks they are sexxy & they express your individuality!

i have mixed feelings on this. not because i think girls shouldn't have tattoos ( i have 2 myself, am getting another on wednesday of my son's name and plan on getting at LEAST one more) however, some girls can't pull off the tattoos they get. like i've seen some girls with tattoo sleeves and they just look incredible but then i see other girls with sleeves and they look disgusting. i LOVE tattoos. i too think they're beautiful ways to express yourself in an art form. but some girls don't think their tats through and come out looking bad

I personally find lots of tattoos and piercings on girls trashy. It is not attractive to me at all, but I do admire the courage the women who get them have. I think it does take a lot of guts to be different and challenge what mainstream society sees as beautiful.

I consider myself conservative in a lot of things. I definately ain't one of those alternate lifestyle, goth, punk, funky clothes wearing persons. If that's your thing, so be it. But I have tats and used to wear an earring. Please don't stereotype.
There's nothing wrong with tats on a girl or piercings...just don't go overboard with it. Same with guys. If it looks like you can hang a shower curtain from your eye brow, you have too many rings up there. As far as the tats...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I saw a lady in a magazine that had a necklace of grotesque 'willies' around her neck (purple, orange, red, misshapen, warts..nasty looking). Stupid.
And yes, Kat von D is a good lookin chick and a talented artist.
The key is: don't over-do it. If your body looks like you had a collision with an ink tanker and a tackle box, to me, you overdid it.

some i find gross, like i saw this thing today where you can get tattoos "under" you're skill. i thought it looked disgusting. but i don't really frown upon it.
i think what someone does to they're body like that is they're decision and i have no right to judge them on it. alot of them i think are cool.
i want a couple tattoos later on, and i want a few more piercings.
i only have my ears done, as well as my labia. that i did myself lol.
but i definitely agree with you.
girls shouldn't be considered unattractive just because of a tattoo or piercings, but i dont think i've ever really met someone that thought that.
most of my friends think they're cool. :)))

i think those guys are just intimidated, they want to view women as weak pathetic people who need everything to be provided by a strong manly man. and women who have tattoos are obviously strong enough to be independent and not NEED a man. (tho most of us do have wonderful understanding supportive men in our lives... i know i do)
