Fleas go down that way because it has less hair and is easy access. So to speak. I would not recommend hertz as a whole because it is a "cheap" brand and because they tend to use chemicals that are not so great for the dog. I would however recommend trying garlic tabs and or raw garlic. I have 6 dogs of my own and have had to try many things i know it seems easy to get them chemical but if you think about it the skin is the largest organ on the human or animal body and it absorbs whatever you put on it so the more you can go natural the better off your pup will be. I hope this helps! here is a great website. Also if you do a herbal flea control search you can find many more suggestions! good luck!

Flea shampoos are not effective, so the fleas are having no problem staying alive, which is why you can still see them.

Which spot-on treatment did you use, exactly? If it's from a pet store it's not going to work. You need something from a vets, like Frontline or Revolution. If you applied the stuff after bathing, it won't work - you need to wait 48 hours after bathing before you can apply a spot-on. Bathing washes off the natural oils of the skin, and spot-ons require these to work.

The same goes for house treatments - anything you buy in a store will not work.

Put a flea color on her, that helps my dogs. We don't live in a flea prone area, but we do get a small share of them, and once I put flea collars on my dogs, I never see another on on them. Get the 6 dollar Hartz brand, I've been happy with those on my Corgis. As for where they are attaching, it's just an easy spot to get to that has good blood flow. Try a flea collar... flea baths only really help for existing fleas and then a for a very small time frame after wards, but a flea collar works continuously.

Itis probably cause there is less fur ther and it is alot warmer there then the rest of her body that is where i notice my dogs fleas when they have them. An application ofk9 pet advantix will help this make sure it is the proper weight dosage. Then next time you give her heartworm prevent switch her ti sentinel this will kill the eggs and larva. Then go throught the house and treat it furnature too pet bedding any where she lays. If you have other pets treat them as well Dont use the dog treatment on a cat ever it will kill them. Good luck we are battling the same issues it had gotten better though.

Fleas seem to migrate to the belly and to the base of the tail. They go to where it is dark and warm. If you are bathing her..be sure to target that area. If you have already applied a flea preventer, you can't bath her in flea shampoo....but eventually, that preventer should work and the fleas will die.

Fleas migrate to warmth. They rear end tends to be where fleas like to stay. You say you treated your carpet. Did you throw away the vacuum cleaner bag? You need to treat EVERYTHING in the same day. then give her a Capstar (that provides an immediate kill of the fleas but has no residual) bath her and then apply frontline or advantage. There is a new one out but I have not tried it yet so cannot recommend it

Wash her private area really good and see if that helps any. Go to Wal-Mart and get a flea brush for dogs and brush her when you see fleas. You might have to get flea stuff from the vet. it's better than Wal-Mart brand.
