Or am I condemmed to wear close toe shoes for the rest of my life?!

I hate it, they are ugly and make me insecure!

I get picked on all the time for it, they are abnormally long, like an inch longer than the rest of my toes, so my shoes are way big to accomadate my freakish toes. I'm not being vain, it's effecting me greatly.

The people that are calling me vain can go fvck a dog.

I heard that there was. It was on the TV or news. Maybe contact a podiatrist.

Much of the population 2nd toe is larger so it's not abnormal. Secondly if you had surgery what do you think they could do. All you would have a toe stump and no nail and a $10,000 bill. You could save yourself some money and go hit menards pickup a nice pair of bolt cutters and a torch, cut that grotesque toe of yours off and then torch the end. I'm sure that will look better and people still stop laughing at you behind your back about your freakish toe.

all feet are ugly. lots of ppl have a 2nd toe that is longer than the first. I wouldn't obsess over it to the point of wearing close toed shoes forever. who cares!? But, I'm sure there's probably a surgery that someone somewhere can do to file your toe down or something. That sounds like a lot of pain for something so small though...

I understand how you feel. My first 3 toes are all the same length and I had the sandal/open toe shoe phobia for the longest time. Finally I said who's gonna be looking at my toes???? It does make a big difference to keep them manicured and polished it will make you feel more comfortable about it. Also a way to disguise it is to grow the first and third nail longer and keep the second one shorter.

Yes, on both feet. But the one on left foot is lightly longer still than all the others! How odd. I have to buy shoes half a size larger just for that toe, and it peeps over the edge of my sandals ... very cute really!

Simple procedure:

1. get up for a drink in the middle of the night without the lights on.

2. Shuffle feet along floor.

3. Slam toe into bed post.

Otherwise, you could ask a plastic surgeon, since they'll do anything for money.

I'm going to guess that you are saying that your second toe is longer than your big toe. If this is the case, I do believe that there is in fact an operation to fix this. But seriously, just leave your feet as they are. The only thing you would need to worry about when it comes to your toes is if your toenails are nasty looking.

I have heard of people having cosmetic surgery on their feet. Actually, if I had the money, I would like to have the same toe shortened. I have to get a size bigger in shoes because of it..

I am sure there is an operation, but why? I know so many people who's second toe is longer. It's natural. Plus, rumor says people with a longer second toe are great lovers! ;)
