Please answer honestly. Have you or your spouse ever cheated on each other during a deployment?
I heard the divorce rate is at an all time high for military & the frequent deployments have a lot to do with that.

19 years, 1 remote, 17 TDYs, 5 deployments, no cheating! It can be done and we're the rule not the exception!

neither my husband nor i have ever cheated on a deployment...we are committed to our marriage and to each other...we're getting ready for a our 3rd deployment..
the divorce rate for the military is not higher then our civilian counterparts...honestly a person is going to cheat either because of a deployment or not...

I did 5 years in the Navy where I met my husband. I got out and he is still in. Going on 12 years. He has been on plenty of deployments and we have never cheated on each other. It does happen, but if you trust your husband I wouldn't worry about it. Dwelling on the what-ifs will just make the deployments harder. Good luck!!

this will be my dh 3rd deployment and neither of us has ever thought about cheating at all , its all about the trust in you marriage and staying away from all the wrong people, i have heard the stories and i have seen it happen ;, you have young women coming into the military life and cant cope with the fact of being alone for one reason or another and then they find one person to be nice to them and its over and then you have the clubbers the day thier hubby leaves they are in the club to drink it away and end up cheating , dont get me wrong because we do have alot of good military wives but you only hear about the bad ones and its funny to because you never hear about the men either , its like what happens in iraq stays in iraq , but you have alot of men over thier and some mess around with the other personel and others have cyber affairs with the ones they swear they dont care about it was just an internet thing , ive seen it happen to a good friend luckily she left the sob, but its all gonna depend on the persons them self and if you really love your husband and he really loves you then you have no worries ,.

cheating is common regrettably I have seen it from both sides actve duty and as a civvy as for myself my wife and i had an understanding and the "cheating" was removed from the equation. The multi deployments are hurting the families for several reasons such as "if I have to do everything myself I might as well be single" attitude. Post Tramatic Stress the stress that the spouse has for their spouse/home and the changes in general to the service member and spouse

My husband and I haven't cheated on one another during deployment. It is hard, but you got to do it! It gets easier when you don't think about it, but it will never be easy!

I'm in the military and my wife cheated on me and left me, and I got a note FIVE DAYS before I got back from my second deployment(got back 2 months ago) that she was taking my truck & **** and leaving.. hope that helps answer your question.

My husband and I are both active duty and both of us have been deployed at separate times. I can proudly say that I have never cheated on my husband and nor has he cheated on me. Not cheating on him is easy. The thought of losing him because I couldn't keep my hands to myself is the scariest and stupidest thing ever. I have zero respect for women who can't keep their legs closed for the length of a deployment (and I have met a lot)... there is no better way to thank your husband for serving his country then to have him come home to find you with your ankles behind your ears!! Dumb women!!
