That statistic sounds like 100% of all people eventually die after drinking milk. But office affairs are NOT a good thing and often lead to trouble. Had many of them, even though no lasting damage was done to my career, they ALWAYS have added stress and all employers should discourage them.

I personally have not had an office affair, but I have recently been a victim of an office affair. My boss, the President of the company, & the so-called 'bookkeeper' are having an affair. Unfortunately, my co-worker & myself weren't favored by this 'bookkeeper' & we got canned. She alleges that she could not get her work done due to the stress of our threats(which was totally bogus). The whole thing boiled down to them both being married to other people & they knew that we were onto them. THAT'S THE GIST OF AN OFFICE AFFAIR. SOMEONE ALWAYS GETS HURT!!

Is he counting affairs as two single people in the same company dating each other?
If that's what's he's counting as an affair then I think the percentage is higher.

Does this count?
I met my wife at work. We dated, moved in together, then got engaged. I then got promoted to be the manager of an office in another city, and she got to be the main secretary. We got married and took the jobs. We are still married and work together everyday.

90% of statistics are made up. How do they even take a poll for something like that?
