A High Iron diet along with iron supplements is often recommended for iron deficiency anemia....

Here are some food and their MG iron content.
Liver 9mg
Anchovies 4mg
Special K Cereal 13mg
Liquorice 8mg
Cashews 6.2mg
Almonds 3mg
Apricots 3.5mg

Here are some others but without the MG content.. But they are still very high in iron content..
Clams
Pork Liver
Oysters
Chicken Liver
Mussels
Beef Liver
Beef
Shrimp
Sardines
Turkey
Canned Beans
Enriched pasta
pumpkin seeds
Baked Potato with the skin.

PS. Pregnant women should not eat liver because of its very high Vitamin A content.

The standard biggies are: Beef, Spinach, and Liver (any type). It's a great excuse to enjoy some guilty pleasures like fried chicken livers or liver and onions!

Hope this helps!

Liver, molasses and I think soybeans.I take ferrous sulfate for mine. Also, they tend to forget to tell you that when you are taking in more iron that you also need to get more vitamin c.They are each other's natural partner or sum crap so check into that 2.

liver, either beef or chicken, eventually pork
red meat, medium done
use cast iron skillet!!!! it releases iron into your food
avoid diet consisting exclusively of cow milk.
cereal enriched with iron work.
most importantly, find a good doc to figure out why/if indeed it is anaemia.....

Will depend on the context really. Which is better as a snack - fresh fruit to me. It's tastier and gives you that tad of sweetness. Which can be better as a snack if you are trying hard to minimize back on sugar and lose weight vegetables

Doctors always tell you to eat more liver. Or, if your iron is really low, the doctor will prescribed for you iron tablets for a couple of months.
