I would say that is comparing and contrasting the textures of the pumpkin ( rigid) and velvet (soft). It is using these two opposites to say I would rather be uncomfortable maybe as in devoid of creature comforts but have my space rather than be fighting to get a little piece of comfort or luxury and sacrificing my personal space or freedom for it..

try substituting the notice 'fundamentals' quite than the notice 'fundamentals.' because of the fact you place this question into the 'splendor' class, i'm uncertain if this replaced right into a assertion made 'approximately dressing properly,' or in case you made a mistake ... the two way, i visit apply 'trend' to 'clarify' what I recommend. you ought to purchase 'types and colours' in all your clothing, and that they're going to purely flow with one or 2 different issues on your closet ... or you could 'top off on fundamentals ... black, brown, and tan skirts, and slacks, black and tan jackets, and WHITE blouses ... then you definately can purchase 'straightforward colored tanks' in each attainable distinctive colour, and scarves (the two long and skinny, and massive squares) that experience a minimum of lots of the scarves ... or 'compliment' them ... and get 3 pairs of 'reliable residences' and one pair of '2" intense heels in black. you would be 'surely set for all times with that 'cloth wardrobe, and you will 'combination and experience' the basics and each and all of the colours and scarves for a 'million distinctive seems ... at rather 'little' rate. So, those 'fundamentals' are the 'development blocks' and the 'exciting' is the 'colours' of the scarves and tank tops ...

I like ladies in jeans. It makes them look more city like and it doesn't look like they are trying too much but if you are trying to get this folks attention, this may not be what you would like

I would rather be the star of B movie than to be a 4th or 5th named actor in a Block-Buster picture.

It is about uniqueness and individuality. Basically it is saying that it is better to be yourself, even if it is not comfortable all the time, rather than compromise your individuality and follow the flock, which is often the easier way to go, socially.

Cheers...

I think that it means that if the author had the choice from having something simple, that they could call their own than having something glamorous and having to share it with every one.
