Lady at school took a shot and I have to go back there on wednesday because they are going to check to see if a bump has developed.

It was itchy so bad tonight and I strech it, a bump is shown now. I don't know what to do, what it was itching, I totally forgotten that they were going to check if bump accures in two days. If I tell that I strech, they wouldn't believe me, they'll think I have tuberculosis

What to do?

Like the others said, this is the general procedure. I would show this to this Lady @ School what this looks like tomorrow morning. Please don't fret. This does happen to people. Besides... if the test does show up positive you will still have to go for a chest x-ray to prove that you do have TB

Its just a bump around the injection site that they are looking for. Leave it alone from now. If they see a reaction they will give you the second shot, which will help innoculate you. If its itchy you may have been exposed, and it will need to be checked up.

It is more about the size of the circle that developes, and if it rises. You can get a false positive, but you can have a chest xray to help determine if you are positive. If you work in healthcare, you are more likely to test positive, but that does not mean it is active TB. If it is you will hear from the Dept of human services, and they can get you the meds that you need.

the bump wouldn't itch if you didn't have some exposure. You go and you let them see it, they will send you for a chest xray. The positive result doesn't mean you have tuberculosis, it does mean you have been exposed. The chest xray will determine whether or not you have it.
