Would you recommend me spending 100 $ to update my computer? If you do, what so great about it?

THANKS

Heres the difference between Vista and XP. License Agreements. Microsoft essentially sucker punches you with a new license agreement in which users essentially sign away their rights. Are you an avid listener of mp3 off the internet. Well hope they all have Digital rights management because if they don't Vista has no problem treating them as disposable (thats right disposable as in Vista will delete at will) Look at the critic reviews of the security protections of vista (Google it) and realize why XP is a god send and that you shouldn't ever upgrade. If your forced to upgrade get a mac or learn Linux. Vista sucks.

I am using Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and I have no complaints. It works very fast and smooth on my computer. I use it for everything from just surfing the web to all the latest PC games and have never had any trouble with it.

One small con: Vista uses alot of memory so it is best to have atleast 2GB ram to be able to run everything and keep all the programs snappy.

I went from window's 98 to Vista Home Premium when we got a new computer this year. I have to say I really like it. But I only have win 95 and 98 to compare to.

After being a avid user of Xp and then upgrading to Vista on my new laptop I would say that for now (at lease until vista's service pack) it would be better to stick to Xp.

The hardware upgrades necessary to get Vista running smoothly will likely cost you a lot more than a c-note :-(

I don't believe it deserves some of the bashing it gets, but it deserves no praise, either.
