They have large amounts of fat stored that their body can get its calories from. Eating less calories allows their body to eat their fat for the etra calories they aren't consuming so they can lose weight and still be healthy. When they have lost the weight, then they go back to a normal amount of calories

if you are underweight, you rob your systems of needed nutrients and you deny yourself a longer life, 1500 calories is a weight losing calorie load, I don't know how tall you are tho, so I cannot comment on how such a restrictive diet will affect you. As for those who are over weight, restricting calories is necessary for being overweight is just as detrimental to health as being underweight, tho in a different fashion. At least people who are overweight and restricting their calorie intake are doing something to become healthier, you however, are not doing yourself any favors, nor are you maintaining your health. When you are older, you will pay for such actions with rapidly deteriorating health. Consider getting yourself some nutritional counseling.

It's not really the calories, but the type of food you eat. You are stuck with your body and it's metabolism, but to stay healthy you need to eat the right foods, enough but not too much to maintain. Some bodies store calories, which accounts for people who are always "plump" and other bodies burn everything at a fast rate, so those people need to eat more to keep up their strength and energy.
Skinny people who are otherwise healthy still need to eat healthy food to maintain their strength and energy. Plump people need to eat healthy so they do not gain unhealthy weight. It's like eye color. You are born that way and can't change it. But you need to eat healthy food no matter what your metabolism is. Overweigh people mainly need to change their eating habits to lose weight and have a strong body. Eating to gain weight, unless you have been ill, is not a good idea.

Increase your protein......and I don't mean a cheeseburger....just protein it'll give you energy and not put on fatty weight, but it will help with muscle tone. Make sure you do eat some fat though, you need it for nerve conduction and lots of other cool things that fat does for the body.

I'm sorry ur having a hard time, people can just be stupid sometimes and not think b4 they open their mouths. My best to you!!

being too skinny can be as unhealthy as being really fat.
fat people need restrictive diets to help them lose weight and become the healthy person they want to be. While really skinny people should'nt have restrictive diets for it would probably cause a lack of vitamins and energy you need to sustain yourself with.
