Grace is enabling power sufficient for progression. Grace divine is an indispensable gift from God for development, improvement, and character expansion. Without God's grace, there are certain limitations, weaknesses, flaws, impurities, and faults (i.e. carnality) humankind cannot overcome. Therefore, it is necessary to increase in God's grace for added perfection, completeness, and flawlessness.
Put another way, humankind is unable to evolve or be saved without God's grace; it is a prerequisite to salvation. Additionally, humans cannot exchange good deeds for it. It is a free gift from God. Thus, humankind is saved all by grace and not by some combination, mixture, or blending of good works and divine grace. Were it achieved by works, humans could take pride in efforts towards holiness.

Grace in Christianity, grace is the special goodwill of God towards man. Holiness was only possible by the grace of God.
If someone does something with good grace, they do it willingly.
A grace and favour appointment is one which relies on the goodwill of whoever is in charge.
If we talk about someone's or something's saving grace, you mean their one good quality, which prevents them being completely bad or worthless.

some would define it as 'class' (for example, losing gracefully, aging gracefully) or similar admiral trait (her graceful moves on the dancefloor, his graceful manners at the dinnertable).
That's usually what I think of. Then there is also the biblical grace, which most people already answered.

The common definition is "unmerited favor." The New Testament Greek word "charis" is commonly rendered "grace." Here is its simple definition:
grace, the state of kindness and favor toward someone, often with a focus on a benefit given to the object; by extension: gift, benefit; credit; words of kindness and benefit: thanks, blessing

Grace is when you receive a benefit, or blessing that you have not earned. By contrast, mercy is NOT receiving a punishment that you have earned. God shows us both His Mercy and His Grace.
