Turkey
Sage Dressing
Mashed Potatoes
Gravy
peas
Rolls
Cheese onions (a family tradition)
Dutch apple pie
Cheese onions - 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 2 bags of frozen pearl onions, most of a jar of Cheese Whiz. Mix all together in a casserole dish and bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly.
Dutch Apple Pie
7 c apples (6-7) -- peeled and sliced thin
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 pinch cayenne pepper
Note: The cayenne pepper should be completely in the background and noticeable as no more than a slight tingle on the tongue. However, this tingle really sets off the flavor of the pie.
Streusel Topping:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Mix together streusel topping ingredients (cut in butter with pastry blender, then add chopped walnuts) and divide into two bowls. Add the pinch of cayenne pepper to one of the halves ONLY (this half of the streusel will be used in the pie filling).
Mix apples, lemon juice and the streusel mixture with the cayenne pepper together in a large bowl and toss to mix.
Place apple mixture into crust. Bake for ten minutes in center of oven. Sprinkle the other half of the streusel topping over pie, reduce heat to 350F, and continue baking 35 minutes. Serves 8.
Pie Crust
2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 pound lard, chilled and cut into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 (6 fluid ounce) can or bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in lard until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in lemon-lime soda until mixture forms a ball. Divide dough in quarters and shape into balls. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

I got a kick-*** recipie for a new sweet bread that I've never tried before. I'm dying to serve it on Thanksgiving.
1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups raisins
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups apple sauce (home-made or store-bought)
Sift flour, baking soda, salt & spices. Beat brown sugar, butter & egg until light & fluffy. Mix dry ingredients alternately with apple sauce. Stir in raisins. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
After cake cools, sift 10X sugar over top of cake.
