Hi! I Just took an employee drug test today and am a little worried about the .5 mg of ativan I took a week and a half ago. That is all I took, and it is not my prescription, it's my sister's. It was also a hair test. Will I not pass even though I took such a small dose? Do all drug test test for benzodiazepines?

NO! Hair strand test usually do not test for benzodiazepines. Besides, the dose is too low that even if it is tested, the metabolites level won't amount to the cut-off level to be considered positive. That is if you had just a single dose of 0.5 mg and nothing more than that.

Hair drug tests usually screens for five different drug classes: Cocaine, Marijuana, Opiates ,Amphetamine, and Phencyclidine.

Currently simple benzodiazepines have been detected in hair samples. However, many details such as cutoff levels and dose response relationships have not yet been established for these compounds.

Just a friendly advise....Always be careful with what you are taking. Taking prescription of others is extremely dangerous.
