omg,I am sooooooooo frustrated with all these hypochristians right now!!!
I have asked a couple of questions about tithing..like
Is it considered tithing if you give directly to a charity you believe in,instead of churches that you dont..

basically, everyone is claiming unless you give it to the church,It does not count as...(get this)..you have to give it to God! the church IS NOT God...especially the ones in my area
they are claiming giving to the church is giving to God..hahahaha
first off..God is everywhere..is HE not?
2nd..how is giving directly to Gods children, not considered giving back to God

I dont need to put my trust in a church
I put my trust in God and God alone
even the Bible clearly states trust in no man..
can someone show me the part that said
trust in no man..except for churches!!

churches are NOT God people
can you accept that
and KNOW that God resides everywhere!!!!

I would certainly contribute to it,
personally,I study my bible at home,as Ive witnesses some very bad things in the churches in my county!
perhaps when I move,I will try a church again.

God will tell you where to give your tithe!! I personally agree with you! I give my tithe to the church and when someone is in need and I feel the Lord's leading, I give my tithe to them!! You are right, either way you are giving to God!! He knows your heart!! God bless you!

How do you give to God? You mentioned charities of your choice. How is that God? And how do you know those charities are any better than a church? Why not give to both? There are other ways to give too.

Giving and tithing into a ministry that is properly using it's money for ministry rather than cars, houses and lavish lifestyles, is a good thing to do. Now I know it's nearly impossible to know if the charity or ministry you give money to is using it properly. At some point prayer is needed so you have discernment. The early church gave into Paul's ministry so giving among Gods children as you put it, is ok, in my view.

I'm learning that when I give, it's not because I'm meeting a requirement. It should be something I do because I want to thank God and worship him with something that is near and dear to me, money. In today's world, that's about the only thing in our lives that really shows where our heart is. This principle is demonstrated as far back as Cain and Able. Remember, it was their offering that was talked about before the sin. Later you see scripture regarding the people giving of their possessions for the building of the temple. And there are many more references to giving regarding the explicit purpose of God. Jesus did come to establish his body which is called the church throughout the New Testament. The church is relevant today.

Of course you know that Tithing is only for Jews.. There were 12 tribes... God gave 11 of them land... the tithe was to support the Levites who served in the temple and had no land. So unless you are Jewish and know of a deserving Levite, Tithing has nothing to do with you. Feel free to give from your heart any amount to anyone in need as you see fit.

GOD is not a man. So you have to throw that reasoning out the door, the one about Trust No Man... See when people tend to be confused is when they read bits and pieces to argue about with out reading and knowing more of it. There is always something new to learn. Only GOD is omniscient GOD does reside everywhere, we show him we care, we give him time and we allow him to work through us. We congregate together, the bible also says we must praise the Lord, and love our brothers and neighbors, as he has loved us. Love meaning from the heart and not some sort of physical rapture that ends when someones no longer appealing to look at. Any how, prayer is more stronger with the more people there are together to pray. Church is a social and unique place to show God and his people that we love him and adore him. Be not afraid nor embarrassed to show GOD in public that you love him.

I'm a Christian, and I give to charity. In the Bible it says something about the tithe going to support the Church. God knows what is in my heart when I give, and that is all that matters to me. If you feel like you should give to charity, then give. It is between you and God.

I tend to agree with you...God is not church, the spirit of God should be in church, therefore the spirit of giving should be in church. There is nothing wrong with helping people on your own. However, when combining everybody's tithing together, churches have much greater ability to help way more people, than you alone could help.

If you give from the heart anywhere, anytime that is 'Christian' giving. The idea of a church 10% tithe is passe. But I do understand for a particular church to survive it will need support from the people who attend it.

Jesus Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it.

Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together.

Paul

1 Cor 16:2
2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
(KJV)

You need to stop being so self-righteous. If you are going to worship God in Truth and Spirit, then you should accept the Truth of God's Word.

If you are wise, you will love those here who have quoted the scriptures that teach us all to you.

Your definition of a church, what it does, what is not are your own definitions. But the scriptures are clear on what the local churches really are: people who gather together in the name of the Lord.

When are you going to join us.

David's answer is correct. Read Malachi (last book of the Old Testament) chapter 3. Also, there arent any good churches in your area, but the body of Christ cannot functrion as it should without you! Hebrews 10:24,25

Sounds like and awesome ministry you have!

I agree with you for not giving money direct to the church of any religion because it will only be use for the good of the pastor, for his enrichment. You give your money to the needy people in your community.
However if you can see tht the money which you are giving to the church is being use to help the needy and being use in the spreading of christianity, maybe it is reasonable .
There are many churches whose pastors and priest are dishonest . They are taking the money of their members for their own use by building their mansion house, buying lucrative cars, etc etc.
Give it to me directly and I may buy a cake for you.
