The Royal Paulownia, also called Royal Empress Tree (Paulownia tomentosa) is purportedly one of the fastest growing trees in the world: 10 feet in one season and 25 feet in three years! There is a species of tropical bamboo that allegedly grew 100 feet in a three months but the author is skeptical and believes 50 feet more likely. It is a grass, poaceae and gramineae. But it is also a woody plant. From the botanists on Waynes Word.

There are a number of ways to define "super fast", such as increase in height, horizontal spreading, rate of reproduction, etc. Bamboo is considered one of the fastest growing plants in terms of an increase in height. Some bamboo species been reported to grow up to 3 to 4 feet in one day. Large bamboo grows in a tree-like fashion and although a monocot, they fit the definition of a tree.
More typical deciduous trees grow at different rates depending on their location - this web site is useful for finding the fastest tree in a particular state: http://www.fast-growing-trees.com/
